Build an owl, a frog, a windmill or a bunch of grapes from nothing but curves, sticks and rings. This creative puzzle set gives children 38 colorful wooden pieces and 30 double-sided picture cards that show what to build, all packed in a tidy iron storage box.

The pieces come in bright green, orange, blue and red arcs, blue and pink sticks, and purple rings. Choose a card, copy the picture piece by piece, then try making your own designs. The cards show animals, fruit and everyday objects such as a cat, a bird, a sheep, a jellyfish, a watermelon and a windmill, so there is plenty to discover.

Copying a picture helps children practice noticing shapes and colors, concentrating and thinking in steps, and it works well as a parent-and-child activity. The box measures about 13.5 × 9 × 4.8 cm and each card is about 5.5 × 5.5 cm, so the whole set tucks away easily after play.
